Wild Adriatic Roars Back with Electrifying Album Release Party at Putnam Place

Wild Adriatic made a powerful return to their hometown stage on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs to celebrate the release of their long-awaited self-titled album—their first full-length record since 2017’s Feel. Fans packed the venue wall to wall, eager to be part of this milestone moment for the beloved rock band. They launched the night with the album’s opening track, “A Simple Thing,” and from the first chord, the crowd was buzzing. The energy in the room was electric as they played every track from the new record. They followed up with all of the fan favorites. The response was overwhelming—every song landed with excitement, showing that their sound has only grown stronger. The band’s chemistry was undeniable. Frontman Travis Gray delivered soaring vocals and gritty, expressive guitar work that commanded the stage. Rich Derbyshire held down the groove with warm, funky basslines and smooth harmonies. On keys, Dustin DeLuke added layers of soulful depth, while Mike Oehmen’s saxophone brought a vibrant, edge that elevated the arrangements.

Mateo Vosganian kept the whole engine running with rock-solid drumming and powerful dynamics. Together, they played with precision, passion, and a kind of musical telepathy that can only come from years of collaboration.Opening the night was Reese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band, who set the bar high with a wildly engaging set that fused indie-folk and roots-rock. Reese’s storytelling and sharp lyricism were backed by a stellar lineup: Jimi Woodul on electric guitar, Chris Bloniarz on octave mandolin, JP Hubbs on keys, Connor Dunn on sax, Chris Carey on drums, and Dylan Perrillo on bass. Their sound was fresh and dynamic, and their onstage charisma was impossible to ignore. Wild Adriatic jokingly warned the crowd that having such a good band open might’ve been a questionable choice—proof of just how strong the Carriage House Band’s performance was.The new Wild Adriatic album feels like a bold step forward. Songs like “Balderdash,” “New Orleans,” and “Voodoo Blues” showcase their evolving sound—rooted in blues and soul, but full of fresh ideas and tight songwriting. Born from years of touring, recording in makeshift studios, and keeping the creative flame alive through the pandemic, this album reflects the band’s growth, drive, and dedication. Now available for purchase here on Bandcamp, the album comes in digital, CD, vinyl, and deluxe bundles that include everything from craft-roasted coffee to handmade chocolate bars—making it a true labor of love for fans. Wild Adriatic showed Saratoga that they’re not just back—they’re on fire. And if this release party was any indication, the next chapter for this powerhouse band is going to be one to watch closely.
