In 1988 Troy New York Native Ralph Renna started his journey in radio. Bringing local music to the forefront of his playlist. With the radio stations backing, he was able to book national acts in his home town and put the local bands on to open the show.
Capital Underground has been branded in many different ways over the years. A radio show, a television show, a local music concert series, compilation CDs and eventually his own column in all local newspapers. All focused on bands and artists from upstate New York.
Over the past 35 years. Renna a musician himself, playing bass for Politics of Contraband, vocals with Last Call and Black John Wayne. All making their mark in the worldwide metal and hardcore scene. As of late Ralph moved over to guitar and vocals with his rock project Let Go Daylight and currently The Tradition.
