The Small Town Titans rolled through Smallbany and brought the ruckus. Monday night turned into a hidden gem for the 30–35 fans who packed into Empire Underground. What was meant to be a quick side stop en route to “Louder Than Life” became an electrifying hour-and-a-half barrage of rock and roll.
Opening the night was Cody Jasper, a trio out of Austin, Texas. They delivered a gritty Texas groove with tight riffs, soulful storytelling, and bluesy swagger. Standout tracks included “Jaded” and “Just My Type,” which showcased their raw talent and southern charm.

If you judged by stage presence alone, you'd think Small Town Titans were playing to a sold-out crowd. They tore through their catalog with tracks like “I’m Not Done,” “I Am the Man,” and “Dragonfly,” and absolutely crushed covers of “Spoonman,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” and even “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” The crowd was locked in from start to finish—moving, grooving, and loving every second.
Next time they come through town, it won’t be a small crowd. If you’re craving that heavy, bluesy, melodic rock reminiscent of the '90s and '00s—but with a fresh twist—these bands are the real deal. I’m already looking forward to catching up with them when they roll through again.
